Directed here by Juliana Morales Carreño with a combination of glee and technical mastery, both this production and the script itself turn the idea of wealthy male dominance upside-down and shake its pockets for comedic gold.

Director, Juliana Morales Carreño, a third-year M.F.A. student from Bogotá, worked with her peers in acting, design, sound design, dramaturgy, and stage management for months to bring the complex work by Colombian playwright Felipe Vergara Lombana to the stage.

Colombian Yale student Juliana Morales Carreño is the director of the play’s production that’s being put on this January through the David Geffen School of Drama.

Señorita Julia fue escrita por el dramaturgo y escritor sueco August Strindberg hace 130 años y en esta adaptación el conflicto colombiano aparece en la historia, así como el machismo y las relaciones de pareja.
